Commercial Audition

By Bobby Pivens

This is what you should expect at TV commercial auditions. At a commercial audition there will be a lot of things going on at one time. There are usually a lot of different people here with different jobs. The people mentioned will probably be mostly casting directors and staff. Here you can find some commercial free casting calls

One piece of advice is to always be friendly and open. You may not know who does what job yet, but they can help you later down the line. It may surprise you that the person you talk to may actually be a casting director. It's ok to be nervous, but try to remember that the casting directors are human as well. You can calm yourself down by doing breathing exercises or visualizing your success. You can start by getting a survivor open casting.

Keep in mind that casting directors have to see a lot of candidates that day and they try to give you an equal chance. Adding on top of that, if you have a bad attitude, then it can ruin your chances. It'll help your chances if you dress professional and act with the right attitude. In an open audition, you'll need to introduce yourself. Smile and do so gracefully.

Be sure to dress and act professional. It'll finally come to your chance to introduce yourself and do so with a smile. It'll called a slate when you introduce yourself and tell them what agency that represents you. Because commercial auditions can vary, you may next be asked to recite some lines or maybe come up with something on the top of your head.

Find all the jobs that you need in entertainment. When you are leaving the audition, stay as professional as you have been and say goodbye. The casting directors will contact your agent for the next steps. I wish you the best of luck in Hollywood or in the entertainment industry
